Day 0800 hrs - Depart the Legend escorted by an English speaking tour guide and take a long tailed boat trip up the Kok river to the elephant camp in the Karen village of Ban Ruam Mit. After browsing through the village hill tribe market (optional), you mount elephants for a 2 hour safari inland through secondary forest to the Lahu hill tribe of Ban Yafu. Dismount and take a picnic box lunch in the village. After lunch, the elephants leave us and we commence walking further inland through low hills to Huay Mae Sai Waterfall, where we enjoy a short break. The guide will take every opportunity to provide you with information on the hill tribes of the area, and on the flora and fauna, as you walk. Once rested continue on heading further inland to the Yao hill tribe village of Ban Huay Mae Sai. Take a look around the village, then when ready, we take local 'songtaew' (pick up truck) transport for a 45 minute journey back to the Legend. Advertised Rates
