An Outdoor Adventure Club in Northern Thailand BAMBOO MAN CHALLENGE TRAINING WEEKENDS Training Weekends In
preparation for our two Bamboo Man
Challenges to be held in 2001 to raise
money for charity, we will be running
Training Weekends from mid April 2001
to the end of December 2001.
There will be two Bamboo Man Challenges run during the year 2001. Challenge 1 is designed for both the basic and intermediate level contestants, whilst challenge 2 is designed for both the intermediate and the advanced level contestants. The schedule affords contestants the opportunity to compete at what they feel is their appropriate 'entry level' in challenge 1, and then perhaps 'step up' to a higher category for challenge 2. Competitors, (teams or individuals) who place 1st or 2nd in the advanced category of any of the challenges run during 2001, are granted a 50% discount on entry fees to The 3 Day - International Bamboo Man Challenge - April 2002 The 3 Day Challenge will again be a decathlon, with the various 'activities' spread over a course that extends along part of the Old Trade Route that runs from the northern capital of Chiang Mai, to the northermost city of Chiang Rai.
