INDOOR
ACTIVITIES AS TEAM BUILDING PROGRAMMES
A few sample programmes from
the many indoor activities we can provide. This programme provides a combination of two different games. The main group is divided in smaller teams with a maximum of 12 people per team. Each team gets 6 pictures of different people working in the company. Most of the pictures might not be recognized because they are of their colleagues when they were a baby, a child, a teenager, a student, at present and (through photo-editing) how they might look in the future. The tesms are to put the pictures under the right names in the right order, on the game board in the front of the room . Once they have a picture in the right place they have to throw the 'big dice' to play an oversized version of the game 'snakes and ladders'. The team finishing first is the winner. Money making junior - 1 hour + The objective of this game is to make as much as money as possible in the time allowed. 'Money Making Junior' is the same as 'The Money Making Game' (or the Baht Builder) outlined earlier, except the challenges are indoor based, and can be undertaken without the need for supervision by a team of facilitators. (a cost saving) Strategically buying and solving different activities will let the team accrue an increasing amount of money. 'Money Making Junior' is designed by Track of the Tiger to be played indoors, and is excellent evening entertainment. The game does not involve a high level of physical ability and the challenges are selected to suit each particular group profile. 'Money Making Junior' involves teamwork, decision making, communication, strategy, IQ and EQ. Game examples: 1. Card house building The group will be split into teams of 10 persons each. Each team will be given its own name. In a rotation programme, teams will compete with each other over different types of activities. The winning team from each round, will compete with other teams to determine the winner and minor placements. Game examples A variation on this game can be made by not letting two teams compete against each other directly but by letting the teams receive points per activity. The team with the most points when time runs out is declared the winner. Examples of activities to add for this part are: Play cards on the bottle Each person (or each team) in the group will get a card with their identity and listing other specific information. By the process of asking questions and analysing the answers between the teams, each team must determine who was the murderer, where it happened, how it happened, at what time it happened, and why. The group will be split into two teams. Each team gets a pack of cards, on which different military ranks are shown. One of the cards given to each team depicts a national flag. All team members get a card. The objective of each team is to capture the other team's flag. Each team takes position on
one side of the room. They have to arrange their team members in a protective
semi-circle around the flag. The defender in turn shows his rank card, and the one with the highest rank card between the two wins this particular battle. The person who lost has to leave the playing area. This continues until a team eliminates all opposition and captures the unprotected flag card. The group will be split into two teams. Both teams will get shirts representing chess figures to issue to their members. Additional team members are extra pawns (an equal number on each side - and can replace 'once only' pawns that have been knocked out the game). The rules are based loosely on traditional chess, but additional regulations such as time limits per move, team decisions etc., make the game quite chaotic. No hard feelings, it's just a game We have a number of 'giant board games' such as snakes and ladders in which all team members become 'game pieces' and are moved around the board gaining bonuses or incurring penalties depending on where they land. Some games include 'trivial pursuit' squares, that when landed on, present a question for the individual to answer. Failure to do so correctly means elimination from the game. The game is made much faster than normal by the fact that each team has its own dice, and the facilitators 'move things along'.
