Outline Itinerary: (Specimen only) Day One: Arrive in Chiang Mai by air or train and be transferred out to check into the Suan Bua Resort, spend the afternoon at leisure and then attend a cocktail party and dinner to meet others attending the workshop. Day Two. Breakfast. Lectures, slide shows by local experts on textiles & handicrafts. Lectures cover the history, the raw materials and their current day and traditional use. Lunch in the resort. Lectures by local expatriate experts on objects d’art, and on exporting textiles, art, handicrafts from Thailand to your home country. Day Three to Day Twelve A wide range of (1-4 day) optional trips, to various factories, outlets, attractions related to your field of interest, in Chiang Mai, North Eastern, Central & Southern Thailand as well as to Burma, Laos and countries of the Mekhong region will be on offer as options to be taken at additional expense. Day Thirteen. Breakfast. Arrange packing shipment of your items back to your own country. Evening dinner and farewell party in Chiang Mai. Day Fourteen. Breakfast. Transfer to airport/railway station for flight or train out.
