FACILITIES

Resort Facilities

Clients of the Corporate Development Facility have full access to all of the facilities at the Maekok River Village Resort. This includes:

  • The restaurants, providing an impressive range of Thai and Western meals in both buffet and a la carte style.
  • The bars: including the indoor ‘Rice Mill Bar’, the Poolside Bar and the newly developed ‘One for the River’ outdoor bar which is situated on the banks of the Maekok River. Cable television is connected to the bars providing the perfect location and atmosphere to watch all major sporting events.
  • The gymnasium, located adjacent to the poolside suites and containing a range of cardio-vascular and muscular activities.
  • The swimming pool, measuring 12.5 metres in length and situated amongst the poolside suites and beside the poolside restaurant and bar.
  • The herbal sauna and massage school.
  • The Krua Maekok Thai cooking school, where courses can be completed, lasting from one morning to a week.
  • The Resort Gift Shop, containing a range of items originating from Thailand, Burma and Laos, for those who relax through ‘retail therapy’!
  • Clients also have access to the resort’s numerous and varied outdoor activities and recreational facilities


Business Facilities

The on-site Business Centre at the reception is available for your use at all times. It has been designed to accommodate all your business needs and is equipped with a computer for internet or email, a fax machine and a photocopier.

Twelve meeting rooms are available for your use, ranging in size from 8-seats to 200-seats. These are ideal for any type of meeting you wish to hold, from large lectures to small group work.

Lecture aids such as televisions, slide projectors, overhead projectors and computer image projectors are also available, ensuring that your desired presentations are as professional and effective as possible.


Evening Entertainment

We have the following entertainment options available to groups visiting the facility:

  • BBQ and campfire dinners.
  • Evening dinner cruises onriver barges.
  • Hill tribe dance shows.
  • Theme parties and organised games.
  • Evening outings to entertainment areas/clubs in Fang or Chiang Rai.
  • The full range courses of offered by the resort and Track of the Tiger Tours.
  • Various recreational offerings such as rock climbing, abseiling and beach volleyball.

ACCOMMODATION

Your Options

Clients visiting the Corporate Development Facility can be accommodated at the Maekok River Village Resort in either:

  • Poolside suites (49 square metres)
  • Family villas (54 square metres) pictured below
  • Barrack-style dormitories


The barrack-style dormitory takes the form of a two-storey building that can be partitioned into several rooms by adjusting the moveable walls. The building can accommodate up to 100 individuals and has 10 individual Western-style bathrooms with hot showers. An entertainment and television viewing area can be incorporated into the design upon request.

Note: The barrack-style environment is seen as an effective tool in breaking down social barriers that exist among organisations. This is an important step in encouraging participants to become team players.


Something to think about

The various facilities and accommodation available at the Maekok River Village Resort make it possible for the partners of those involved in the training programme to also visit.

They can easily join any of the tours offered by the resort, take part in a cooking lesson, enjoy a massage or take advantage of the range of outdoor activities we provide.

This helps to encourage social interaction and integration amongst individuals while providing another positive dimension to the entire experience. It also pleases those involved, thus resulting in motivational benefits.
