Chiang Mai Northern Thailand Tour Activities

FAMILY FRIENDLY TOURS FOR SMALL OR MEDIUM SIZED GROUPS

4 Days & 4 Nights – In the Kingdom of La Na – Tour starts in Chiang Rai and ends in Chiang Mai

Day One

Arrive in Chiang Rai by air early on either TG000 or late on TG000 and commence your holiday with a one hour road transfer along a scenic route to Maekok River Village Resort. The property is on the banks of the Kok river at the north end of the vast and fertile Fang valley. Relax around the resort and perhaps enjoy a swim before attending an evening BBQ dinner & campfire hosted by the resort management.

Overnight at Maekok River Village Resort.

Day Two

Meal Code – (None)

After breakfast, set off on your choice of any of the following 3 tours;

Option 1.1 (MRVR015) A full day trek through stunning and varied flora to a waterfall, followed by a descent along a different route back to the valley floor below.

Option 1.2. (MRVR017) 18 holes of golf at the Waterford valley Golf Course (Green fees included – but golf club hire app. Baht 600.- and caddy fees app. Baht 160.- at guest expense).

Option 1.3. (MRVR005) A half day of rafting from the resort down to the Black Lahu village of Ban Pha Tai. Canoes are carried on board for those who wish to use them.

Dinner is at guest expense, overnight at Maekok River Village Resort.

Day Three

Breakfast

Option 2.1. (MRVR000) A mountain bike ride through the surrounding farmland.

Option 2.2. (MRVR008) A trip by vehicle through rural Thailand to visit to a rare Paulong hill tribe village, and an equally rare Lahu Shaleh village.

Option 2.3. (MRVR019) A morning of Thai cooking lessons where you will learn to cook 3 popular Thai food dishes.

Buffet lunch.

Depart by minibus to Chiang Mai at 1400hrs arriving at 1730 hrs.

Check in to overnight at the Suan Bua Resort on the outskirts of the city.

In the evening you have two options;

Option 3.1. Take a set dinner (paid for by Track of the Tiger) in the hotel’s pavilion restaurant, followed by a campfire.

Option 3.2. Take a minibus trip into Chiang Mai to visit the night bazaar, dine at your own expense. The minibuses depart at 1830hrs and there are two return trips, at 2100 and 2400hrs respectively.

Day Four

Meal Code – (B)

After breakfast, set off on your choice of any of the following 3 tours;

Option 1.1. ( Chiang Mai006) An easy ‘day walk’ through stunning scenery to a delightful waterfall. (6km walk)

Option 1.2. (Chiang Mai007)18 holes of golf at the Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club. (Green fees included – but golf club hire app. Baht 600.- and caddy fees app. Baht 160.- at guest expense).

Option 1.3. (Chiang Mai008) A collectors outing to ban Hang Dong, Ban Tawai and the small back road factories dealing in teak furniture, antiques etc( normally frequented by those in the import/export trade).

Return to the resort for a late afternoon check out followed by a transfer to the airport for a flight to Bangkok.
