Track
of the Tiger
Presents
“LUANGSAY”
MAEKHONG RIVER TRIP
Programme
Outline
A
2 Day and 1 Night cruise down the Maekhong River
from
opposite
Chiang Khong
(in the Golden Triangle)
to Luang Phrabang
Introduction
Luang
Phrabang was originally within the LAN NA (million rice field) Kingdom
that is now Northern Thailand. Old Thailand hands declare it to
be much as Chiang Mai was 50 years ago. To journey from Chiang Mai
along THE OLD TRADE ROUTE through Ban Thaton, Chiang Rai, (the Golden
Triangle) Chiang Saen, Chiang Khong and then on down to Luang Phrabang,
is to quite literally, travel back through the pages of La Na history.
For many years we at Track of the Tiger have waited patiently for
the right opportunity, the right operator, to provide a reliable
and safe programme along this route that would appeal to our
own typical client group.
We believe Mekong Land’s LUANGSAY trip does just that..........
