HALF-DAY TO 6-DAY
THAI COOKING COURSES

at our own establishment

The KRUA MAEKOK
THAI COOKING SCHOOL
Ban Thaton, Chiang Mai - Thailand

Introduction

The kitchen and restaurant at our own Maekok River Village Resort has long been praised by most popular guide books and word-of-mouth for its excellent Thai food.

Based on our reputation, and after a decade in business, we have decided to take the next logical step and provide Thai cooking courses.

Granada TV of England filming a cooking demonstration, having
selected KRUA MAEKOK COOKERY SCHOOL for use on the
GOOD MORNING TV show, aired daily across Europe.

The Course Format
The courses will be conducted in a specially built teaching kitchen with 12 individual and fully-equipped cooking bays and one Chef’s station.
Students will gather around the Chef’s station for a tutorial and live demonstration of the dishes, then return to their own cooking bays to prepare that dish themselves.

The School Staff
consists of:

  • A senior hotel Chef
  • One of our guest relations officers as the Chef’s assistant (and a graduate of the course herself)
  • One kitchen helper for every 4 students (to assist with preparation and cleaning).
The Course Duration
There are 6 full days of cooking classes. There are 2 classes per day, with each class divided into 2 parts:
  • Tutorial & cooking demonstration by our Chef.
  • The full preparation and cooking of the demonstrated Thai dishes by each student.
