Main Ethnic Minority Groups and Hill Tribes
in our Operational Area.
Apart
from the fact that our operational area covers some of the most
stunning scenery in the North of Thailand, passing as it does through
lush valleys and over several mountain ranges, it is also home to
several ethnic minority groups; e.g., the Thai Lue, Shan, Chinese
and Laotian.
The following Hill
Tribe groups can also be found within easy range of the Lodge: Akha,
Hmong, Lisu, Lahu, Yao, Karen and the Palong, a Mon-Khmer ethnic
group.
